On The Way to Become an Interior Designer

I know it has been a tough year for you, so get ready to have a tougher one :) It is your first year at university, and we all know how you are feeling about it. You must be excited and maybe even worried about your first year in a new environment, as you are welcoming your adult life. All of you are going to start drinking, partying, and all kinds of stuff – which I do not remember, time passes really fast, omg! But, you must remember that you are an interior design student. You are not a regular college student. You can not socialize every day, you can not pass your classes. I know it sounds exhausting and maybe even get you scared. But once you get into it, you will not want to leave it. 

Studying interior architecture is hard. It consumes a lot of time and all of your energy - if you want to accomplish all of your duties ofcourse. In your first year you will have to do some things that even you don’t know what are you doing or why are you doing it?. Because design is not something that you can learn by reading or studying. It is a perspective that you need to gain. So that's why you may need to do things that even you do not understand. Don't be afraid. At some point you will start to percieve and have your own comments about design. Do not underestimate your first year classes. It is important for you to have a perspective on the design world. You will learn how to interpret an interior using the right terms.

First year is tough, but definitely will be easier than second year, or third, or four- I am not gonna lie it's my third year :) but I can assure you that it will be as fun as it is overwhelming with the right friends and teachers. Do not hesitate about yourself and keep reading my blogs – they are here to help you from drowning in the designed ocean. But never forget: Once you get into the water, it is the best ocean that you can swim in.
